I first began using my own name exclusively for ambient/drone music albums, but have since branched out - firstly into harsh noise wall (something directly inspired by those who have done the same before me and have been great inspirations for me - namely Clive Henry, Richard Ramirez and Emily Aideen) - and then later into other genres as well.

I make sound art, foley, field recording, noise, improvisation, drone, ambient, industrial and experimental music - under various aliases and also under my own name.

This page has become a bit of an archival hub for some of my releases around the web - with some 'releases' offered as markers to point listeners towards the platforms that host that work - but it has also been a place to showcase new works that cannot be found elsewhere and especially to exclusively host collaborations.

Recently, this page has been the first place to host the collaborative project Drooling (with Alyce Ice) - and less recently, the collaborative project Sixth Nail (with Juliette Ringsrud), the collaborative project Paul Lucas (with Cody Currie) and live and home-recorded collaborations with Charlie Wheatley, Maxwell Reynish and David Grobgeld. I am always open to working more with other artists - both in person and remote collaboration as well!

This page also hosts the 'vapor noise' works of the alias ᴊ ᴘ ᴊ s © - and has recently hosted a standalone piece and a live recording from the Ancient Weakling alias, borne of my humble Small Worm platform. Generally, this page will always offer a cross-section of the various works that I am engaged with at any given time - but through the rest of this year and looking towards the next, I intend to post more releases here as digital exclusives (to lend a bit of significance to this subscription).

I intend to offer some self-released merch through this page eventually as well (which subscribers will get a 20% discount on). The first to come will most likely be a small run tape edition for a new Shearman album following on from Feral Angel (which had a small run that was sold or gifted entirely at live shows).

Thank you in advance for any and all support that you throw my way! It means the world and helps push me further into this winding labyrinth of sound and noise.

- James
