A solemn altar of the Ouroboros, adorned in trinkets and debris, roaming insects, dust and gravel, tokens and emblems of meaning and remembrance...
Cloaked and knelt, soft utterances attempt to speak volumes, and a ritual to the Void takes place before a dying man who is desperately clinging to the corporeal...

The Crossbones May Fair happenings and interventions took place on Tuesday 23rd May 2017. The interventions formed part of a strange and ethereal narrative that took place within John Constable's tour of the Crossbones garden grounds. His tour preceded songs and poems for Crossbones and a candle-lit vigil to the outcast dead, which takes place in the evening on every 23rd day of the month at the Crossbones Memorial - this was the 156th vigil to have taken place.
Many thanks to John for inviting Between Teeth to be part of the event, and to all of the other artists and performers who came and made the event so memorable.

The sounds were crafted live and improvised in a durational ritualistic action, taking the natural sounds of the garden, the industrial sounds of local transport, the flowing story of the guided tour and the overwhelming aura of death and solemn remembrance as their focal starting point - conjuring and channeling something embedded within this origin, yet daydreaming beyond it.
Only a very small amount of editing, for better listening, was applied to the raw recording taken on site by a stationary Zoom H4n digital recorder.
The original photograph used for making the album artwork was taken by Jimmy Addy.
