I have finally begun to return to new textural studies within wallcraft. The Mask of Architectural Excavation is the first published and the third recorded in a series of works all striving towards the same trajectory.
I had been focusing on other areas for a while now and a number of factors led me to feel like I should unearth some old methods from my periods of creativity from 2014-2016 - and specifically some of the HNW I made in that time.
The Mask series is sort of like an inward reflection on this time in my life and the resulting creations and an attempt to create a sense of rejoicing and nostalgia - one that thereby enables me to move forward with new creations that are at once paying homage to their history whilst also forging forward on a new path.
