This track was made to be sent to Gene Kosowan of Edmonton, Canada, for the 2017 "Art's Birthday" event hosted by BEAMS (Boreal Electroacoustic Music Society), in which local musicians and performers made live collaborative performances with tracks sent in by international artists via the internet.

For my contribution, the local musician Dave Wall was collaborating with my track and he produced manipulated guitar improvisations over it live. I really like how he reacted to this track and how he chose to interact with it musically. He applied brooding atmospheres which melded synchronously with the ambient and minimal atmospheres of my synth, as well as harsh staccato moments that stabbed at and punctuated these same atmospheres.

You can see a video of the full event here, including Dave Wall's performance with my track:

You can also see Christine Miller's video, featuring Elowyn Rose, which was the projection for the collaborative performance featuring my track, here:

For updates and information on the phenomenon that is Art's Birthday, see the Facebook group here:

Thank you to everyone involved in this event and in the initiative of Art's Birthday. Thank you especially to Gene for bringing me on board.
